The event, sanctioned by Athletics Ontario, World Athletics, and World Para Athletics, attracted top athletes from around the globe. The Royal City Inferno Track & Field Festival, organized by the renowned Royal City Athletics Club, has established itself as the region’s top track and field club, offering high-level programming for athletes of all ages. By achieving outstanding performances at this event, athletes are eligible for world rankings, and the results and placing at a Category D meet significantly contribute to the points required to qualify for championships through the World Athletics ranking system.
With only a limited number of category D or better meets held in Canada each year, this festival stands out as an important event on the athletics calendar. Athletes and spectators enjoyed exceptional performances and intense competition, making this festival a highlight in the track and field community.
