Danby Products Limited has announced a voluntary recall of Danby 1500W Adjustable Oscillating Heater 11”

 

Danby Products Limited in cooperation with Health Canada has announced a voluntary recall of Danby 1500W Adjustable Oscillating Heater 11″ (Model DBSH01113WD13) sold in Canada between November 2022 and March 2023. 

This recall was initiated because the power cord of the space heater may sustain a mechanical failure or break, causing an electrical failure and posing a fire hazard. Two incidents have been reported in Canada, and no injuries have been reported.

To determine if your space heater is affected and obtain a full refund of the purchase price, visit our recall website anytime at www.danby.com/support/product-recalls/ or call the Recall Hotline toll free at: 1-800-268-2393 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

IF YOUR UNIT IS AFFECTED, PLEASE STOP USING THE HEATER IMMEDIATELY AND UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE.

Danby Products Limited is offering a full refund of the purchase price of your heater. Please do not dispose of the product. Consumers should not return recalled units to the store where they purchased as retailers are not prepared to take the units back.

Danby Products Limited is conducting this voluntary recall in cooperation with Health Canada which will also monitor the effectiveness of the recall.
