What You Need to Know – Microwaves

No kitchen is complete without a microwave. With many styles, sizes and features available, finding the right microwave for your space may not be as simple as you would think. Let Danby help!

Watt is up?

A microwave’s power is measured by its wattage. In general, the more wattage the higher the power and the less cooking time needed. To give you more of a perspective, it will take an estimated of two minutes to boil a cup of water in a 1,000 watt microwave and at least three minutes to boil a cup of water in a 650 watt microwave. Keep in mind that that your heating habits will easily adjust to any wattage!

Size Matters

Microwave size is based on personal needs and the amount of space available on your counter-top.
You can use the chart below to help you decide on the most appropriate size.
