Rated 5 out of 5 by Boly from Garden bounty storage It’s very cute! And of course, extra storage. We got it mainly to preserve spuds and onions from our Iowa garden that we bring to our AZ home in November, where the garage is too warm. Since we filled it pretty full, and we had things in cardboard boxes, the glass shelves preclude some air circulation, we froze a few things before we got correct temp. Wire shelves would be better. We will get some proper sized baskets before next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bugz from Ice cold This little refer works great! Use it on my outdoor screened patio. It keeps water, beer and sodas ice cold even in the middle of the 100 degenerate summer. The little freezer is great for overflow item from our kitchen refrigerator freezer. I put it up on a pedestal so guests would not have to bend over to retrieve a drink. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Col Retired from Great Small Fridge For My Upstairs Level I have enjoyed having a small refrigerator to have upstairs near my master bedroom. It makes it much easier to get a cold drink without having to walk down a few flights of stairs. It is compact enough to fit in the hallway without blocking the way. I really enjoy this compact yet roomy refrigerator.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mike G from Not very usable. Not very usable. In flexible shelf positions, and the ones that are there are hardly usable. Upper shelf will not hold normal sized bottles. Second shelf too small for cans unless you force it. Bottom shelf is useless. Freezer is nice but could be smaller to give more space to refrigerator.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jay12 from Don’t think is normal?! My fridge came dented which was the initial problem and on top of that the fridge is really loud like I get it’s gonna make some noise but it’s louder than anything I have on in my room. I’d only recommend it to a friend because if it didn’t have these problems it’d be nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by llinfeng from Greate fridge and excellent tracking of customers I bought this small fridge to store yet more stuff during the quarantine period. It worked pretty well over 6 months. Ice does accumulate in the upper chamber starting 1 month after a thorough cleaning. Though, the accumulation of ice is bearable for another 3 monthes or so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by soolzie from Perfect size, top and bottom Bought for a disabled person, who needed drinks, food and medicine close by. Its so much better than a full size fridge, keeping their own supplies separate. The freezer holds a lot and everything is easy to see and get to, would be ideal for a dorm room

Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy purchaser from Energy efficient and functional I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I needed something small and energy efficient. The shelves on the door also are great. It is perfect for my needs, running off my small off grid solar setup. Food stays cold, freezer works great.

The temperature range of Danby’s refrigerators are between 32F-39.2F/0C – 4C. This is the normal temperature range for food safe appliances. Our refrigerators are capable of maintaining a wider range than the specified temperature, however it is recommended that the temperature is maintained between32F-39.2F/0C – 4C for food safety. Minor temperature fluctuations of 1-2 degrees are normal during operation as the refrigerator is equipped with sensors to maintain optimal temperatures.
Danby’s refrigerators are meant to be free-standing units. However, units can be built in as long as the space/ventilation requirements indicated in the owner’s manual are met. Do not fully enclose the appliance in a cabinet. The front of the appliance should be left open so that air can circulate around the appliance.
Danby’s refrigerators and freezers operate at a sound level between 35 and 46 decibels. This is within the normal decibel range for modern refrigerators.
Door can be reversed on the majority of Danby’s refrigerators. Door reversal instructions can be found in the owner’s manual. Video instructions can be found using this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13IJrUfP95M&t=15s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqEZCI77ODU&t=29s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErptZ5DJVUQ)
Our refrigerators are not designed for outside installation. This also includes anywhere that is not temperature controlled. ie. garages, porches, carports, etc.
It is common for new units to have a slight plastic smell. Ensure you have removed all packing material from the fridge. If that does not help, clean the inside of the unit by following the cleaning instructions included in the owner’s manual. Once completed, place an open box of baking soda in the fridge to absorb any remaining odours.
Have you recently opened and then closed the fridge (over the last 1-5 minutes)? If so, being unable to open the fridge again right away is an indication that your door seal is working well. An example of this is you open the fridge, grab a yogurt then close it, but then you decide you want a pudding so you try to open it again but the door seems stuck. When you opened the unit the first time for the yogurt, heat and humidity entered the fridge. When you closed the fridge, this heat was sealed into the unit. If you go to open the fridge again within 5 minutes for the pudding, it might be difficult to open the seal. Wait 5-10 minutes (this allows the hot air in the fridge to cool), when you try opening it again there should be no problem.
This is normal. If you feel like it is coming on too often, adjust your temperature setting.
This varies based on model. Please refer to your owner’s manual. If your knob is a dial that has a blue strip, the darker blue/thicker side indicates the coldest setting. If it is numbered, the highest number is the coldest setting. If your model has a thermostat with temperatures in °C /F, set it to the coolest temperature.
Yes, please allow it to sit upright for 6 hours before plugging it in.
