Why Heat an Empty Home?
Ductless Split Systems offer
Year-round Comfort
Danby’s Ductless Split Systems eliminate the need for transporting and storing a seasonal air conditioner or space heater. With the help of an integrated heating belt, these units have the ability to withstand temperatures as low as -40°C (-40°F). That means cottage goers can extend their stay during colder winter months.
Quiet
Unlike a window or portable air conditioner where the compressor is built-in to the unit that sits inside the house, the Danby Ductless Split system is broken into two different parts. There is an interior unit which delivers cool or warm air into the living space with a fan, and there’s an exterior unit where the compressor and other working parts are housed. This two-piece design means that the noisy components stay outside, so you can enjoy quiet operation inside.
Safe
All Danby Ductless Split Systems are equipped with a refrigeration leakage detection system that will disable your unit in the event of a refrigerant leak. This keeps you and your family safe until your unit can be properly serviced by a qualified technician.
Accurate Temperature Control
Traditional HVAC systems only run until the desired temperature is reached in whichever room contains the thermostat. This could become a problem if your thermostat is in your living room on the main floor and the temperature is comfortable, but your bedroom still feels like a sauna. You’ll either be left feeling uncomfortable, or turn your main floor into a refrigerator so that you can sleep comfortably upstairs. Because the Ductless Split System adjusts based on its internal thermostat, you’ll have the best control of temperature in your living space.
Refer to the BTU rating when deciding which size Danby air conditioner you may need. The higher the BTU, the bigger the room the unit can cool.
