- Disability: As defined by applicable legislation, including physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairments.
- Assistive Devices: Tools or technology used by individuals with disabilities to aid in daily activities.

We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are allowed on the public parts of our premises unless the animal is excluded by another law. If a service animal is excluded by law, we will use other measures to provide services to a person with a disability.
A service animal can be easily identified through visual indicators, such as when it wears a harness or a vest, or when it helps the person perform certain tasks. Please identify your animal as a support animal if there are no obvious visual indicators.
A person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them on our premises.
In certain cases, Danby might require a person with a disability to be accompanied by a support person for the health or safety reasons of:
- The person with a disability
- Others on the premises
Before deciding, Danby will:
- Consult with the person with a disability to understand their needs
- Consider health or safety reasons based on available evidence
- Determine if there is no other reasonable way to protect the health or safety of the person or others on the premises
Danby provides training concerning persons with disabilities to all new employees and maintains the training material on an easily accessible site called ‘Danby University’ to facilitate refresher courses should they be required.
