Customer Reviews

Danby Designer 9.6 cu. ft. Freezer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great freezer I got this because I'm going solar & my old upright fridge was an energy hog. I'm actually using it as a refrigerator rather than a freezer. I had to get a Johnson Controls thermostat so it would only cool to the refrigerator temperature range with the temperature sensing capillary passing into the chest between the upper lip of the chest & the lid. Used as a refrigerator it is incredibly energy efficient. I attached it to my watt meter for a day & found that the average power draw over a 24 hour period was only 8 watts. That translates into just 70 kWh per year. Aside from my non-standard usage, I find it to be a well made freezer. I'm very pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from simple and efficient I bought this because it fit my needs. It's not too big, just right for my kitchen and family needs. It would be nice if it had a light inside but it wasn't a necessity. I have good kitchen lighting. The two baskets move and make for easy access to stuff underneath. It's not so deep that stuff gets lost in the bottom and easier for me because I'm short. I especially like the simple smooth exterior. It's easy to clean and looks like new. And a bonus, it is fairly quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Deep Freezer We looked around and read up on all the deep freezers out there. Danby got the best over all reviews from customers who purchased them. We bought our at Costco and pricing was at least $150.00 then anywhere else we looked so we purchased. We have only owned it for less than a year but so far we are very happy with our purchase!
