Premiere 60 Pint DehumidifierDDR60A3GP
There aren’t too many people who feel comfortable sitting in a humid home and if you’re one of them you can find relief with this high-quality dehumidifier by Danby. The unit is designed to take out 60 pints of water (28.4 litres) every 24 hours and depending on the specific conditions can work its magic in areas up to 3,600 square feet in space. Unlike other Danby dehumidifiers which feature gravity drain systems, the water in the DDR60A3GP is conveniently removed via the internal condensate pump for easy pumped drainage. This model boasts the well-known Energy Star rating which means helps to conserve electricity and keep your costs down. The R410A refrigerant also makes it an environmentally-friendly device. The dual fan speeds can be easily set with the modern Electronic and remote-control system and the coils are kept free of ice buildup due to the automatic de-icing unit. The dehumidifier also has a clever auto-restart feature in case of a power failure and the low temperature device enables the machine to operate continuously until the temperature reaches 5ºC. Cleaning is a simple task with the handy removable air filter and the convenient castors make this model easy to transport. To top things off, this elite dehumidifier comes with a 24-month warranty on parts and labour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gene L from Dehumidifier I was very pleased with how this united operated all summer long! I kept it in my basement to make the temperature more comfortable. It worked perfectly! The temperature in the finished basement was no different from the rest of the house. The only complaint I have is the process in emptying the water out. On the previous dehumidifier I had (a different brand) I was able to remove the water drawer while the unit was operating. It just stopped and no water leaked. On this unit, I need to shut it down, wait a minute, and then pull the drawer out. Otherwise it would drip water. It is a little inconvenient. But overall the appliance is great!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Frmtfx from Works good, but pump connection leaks I like a dehumidifier with a pump so I don't have to constantly empty the bucket. Bought the DDR60A3GP this past spring. Initially it worked fine until I moved it. Over a few hours it soaked the floor due to a dripping leak at the hose connection. I was able to tighten the connection and it was fine for a few months. (We kept it in a tray just in case it started to leak again.) One day I noticed the tray was full of water. Tried over and over to make a water tight connection - it is just a cheap plastic snap on connection and mostly internal. I have already bought a replacement dehumidifier for this summer. I may still take this one apart so I can make a solid connection to the pump.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TKOg from Got louder 2nd year First year we were pleased w dehumidifier, 2nd Summer we were sure it was running louder. This Spring it's collecting very little water for an 8 hr day or night and much louder. Took filter out every few months w little fuzz on screan and washed water bin out to prevent mold. Wanted to care for it so as not to have to buy new each yr. Not impressed. My folks had 1 for at least 10 yrs, 35 yrs ago, while growing up, really expected much better performance from this company. What if I lived in an area that was constantly humid and depended on 12 mo effectiveness? Feel this is not an extreme expectation here in Atlanta. Also, water bin is difficult to slide back in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jim53 from Keeps on keepin' on... I plugged this dehumidifier in and forgot about it (auto-drains) until I received an email from the company asking for a review. Literally, I have not had to touch it - no adjusting, moving, turning - I haven't touched it! Basement area is two rooms, approx 15 X 15 and 10 X 12: dehumidifier is operating just inside the smaller room, and takes care of both. My last dehumidifier started to fail, slowly, so you 'sensed' it was getting humid - it wasn't horrible, but WAS getting worse. I purchased this one and BAM! problem solved. I recommend this product to anyone with similar needs...

Rated 5 out of 5 by TommyVee from Great Dehumidifier I purchased this product at Costco and have been extremely happy with its performance thus far. I do not use the pump feature at this time so I can not comment on how well that functions. With that being said, I can really notice the difference in the humidity level in my basement using this product, even though I did have an older LG which the homeowners left when they moved out and I purchased my home. This product is also energy star rated which is a huge plus when energy costs are soaring. I highly recommend this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by LevelOne from Loving the new dehumidifier I got this Danby to replace another brand after it broke. The best feature is that it can pump the water through a discharge tube UP into the sink so the unit can stay on the floor and drain non stop. The benefit is that when I come down to that space in the morning, it's already at the correct humidity level and I don't have to empty the bucket and wait a few hours until the humidity level drops to make the air pleasant again. In the past with my old unit, the bucket would fill and the machine would shut off so by the morning, the humidity level would be back up to 60%. I love this Danby. The only thing is that within a few weeks, the discharge tube which had been clear is now stained...rusty orange. I believe that is from the minerals in our water which makes me not want to drink our city water.

Rated 3 out of 5 by rqb2 from Adequate Dehumidifier Does the job, but does not operate in a consistent manner. Humidity levels vary significantly from day to day and throughout the day. Sometimes the blower continues when the compressor is not running, sometimes not. Another inexplicable inconsistency (the manual says the blower will run continuously when the unit is turned "on", regardless of humidity level). Experience leakage from hose connection when hooked up to pump water above level of unit. Have resorted to placing unit on counter and using gravity hose to sink when away from home longer then the typical fill interval for the built in condensate storage tank. This dehumidifier does the job, but I am not confident in the quality of the build.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CD11 from Great Until... This started with a problem of not shutting off, it was returned and fixed. Worked fine until this summer. The humistat doesn't read properly. Fortunately, I have another humistat I could use. To get a humidity of 50%, I had to set the humidifier to 65%. Now the big problem is the repair shops authorized to do warrenty work. The closest shop,1 hr away, knows nothing about humidity. Thinks the air has no humidity unless it's 80 degrees and won't work on it. It's been sitting there for weeks. I plan to pick it up and try to find a place that will work on it. Check local repair shops to see if they will work on this before you buy it. It's too expensive to last a year and have no repair shop that will work on it.

There are a couple of reasons this could be occurring. 1) There may not be enough humidity in your environment or 2) Your relative humidity set higher than ambient humidity. Please adjust your settings accordingly if this is the case.
We recommend setting your dehumidifier to between 40-50%.
Information pertaining to watts and amps can be found on the rating plate located on the back of the unit.
It is supposed to be there to help determine the water level.
Yes, usually this air feels warm.
This varies based on model, however most models have been manufactured to have the fan turn off automatically.
This varies based on model. With some models you simply screw the hose onto the outlet on the back of the unit. With other models you have to remove the bucket, feed the hose through the back of the unit and connect to the adaptor above the bucket area, then replace the bucket. It is important to look at your control panel. Some units have a “continuous drain” button on the control panel. If that is the case for your unit, you must press this button after the hose is in place or the function will not work. Please refer to your owner’s manual.
This varies by model, however all dehumidifiers are a one shot timer. Please refer to the owner’s manual for timer instruction.
This will vary based on humidity level. It will pump out the water when it reaches a certain level (pump models only).
