A portable dehumidifier is the perfect solution when it comes to removing unhealthy and uncomfortable moisture from the air. This chic unit can remove up to 50 pints (23.7 litres) of it every 24 hours. Depending on the specific conditions it’s ideal for large areas up to a total of 3,000 square feet. The Energy Star-rated appliance offers unmatched styling and quality with two quiet fan speeds, automatic restart and de-icing features and a direct drain system which allows for continuous operation. The R410A refrigerant is environmentally friendly and the electronic digital panel makes it a simple appliance to control and monitor. You’ll be able to operate the humidifier in temperatures as low as 5ºC (41F) because of the clever low-temperature feature. The easy-to-remove filter makes it a breeze to clean and you can conveniently move the dehumidifier from room to room with the aid of the rolling castors.

Customer Reviews

Premiere 50 Dehumidifier is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dehumidifier! This model is easy to use and does a great job pulling the additional humidity out of the air in our office. We run the A/C a lot in the south and it helps to control the amount of moisture that settles on the windows. It also reduces the musty smell that comes with living in a highly humid environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dehumidifier works great! This dehumidifier has worked better than a famous brand we had to return. We previously owned a dehumidifier for 35 years and have passed it on to our daughter. So we were disappointed in the quality of the one we purchased until we replaced it with the Danby and have had no problems since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I've had several dehumidifiers in the basement over the past 30 years. I've had the Danby now for over a year and must say it is best. It runs with fan on all the time. I really like that I can see what humidity I have set it for and what the humidity actually is. Would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I purchased my dehumidifier for my basement space. It was so humid, clothes that were hanging would feel wet! I was totally satisfied with this product. It's very quiet, shuts off when the water container is full; and extremely efficient!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to be a good working product. So far my Danby humidifiers work as expected. The water container is awkward to empty without a mess. If a floor drain is available set the desired humidity level and forget it. Clean the filter if dusty environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good dehumidifier Unit has functioned perfectly so far - I say so far since the last 2 dehumidifiers I have owned (not Danby) died after one summer. I choose Danby due to 2 year warranty which is extended when registering on-line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from noisy I had the unit for about a month and it worked great ,then it started with a small vibration noise that continued to get worse. Eventually I returned it the dealer. Sorry but I would not recommend this one

There are a couple of reasons this could be occurring. 1) There may not be enough humidity in your environment or 2) Your relative humidity set higher than ambient humidity. Please adjust your settings accordingly if this is the case.
We recommend setting your dehumidifier to between 40-50%.
Information pertaining to watts and amps can be found on the rating plate located on the back of the unit.
It is supposed to be there to help determine the water level.
This varies based on model, however most models have been manufactured to have the fan turn off automatically.
This varies based on model. With some models you simply screw the hose onto the outlet on the back of the unit. With other models you have to remove the bucket, feed the hose through the back of the unit and connect to the adaptor above the bucket area, then replace the bucket. It is important to look at your control panel. Some units have a “continuous drain” button on the control panel. If that is the case for your unit, you must press this button after the hose is in place or the function will not work. Please refer to your owner’s manual.
This varies by model, however all dehumidifiers are a one shot timer. Please refer to the owner’s manual for timer instruction.
This will vary based on humidity level. It will pump out the water when it reaches a certain level (pump models only).
