1. Strange Noises: Appliances, especially refrigerators, freezers, and washing machines, normally make some noise during operation.  However, if your appliance starts making loud, unusual  grinding, clunking, or screeching sounds, it’s a sign that something isn’t right. These noises could indicate loose parts, worn-out bearings, or even a failing motor. Ignoring these sounds can lead to more extensive damage down the road, making repairs more expensive.

2. Leak Problem: Leaks are a serious issue, especially for appliances that deal with water. A leaky washing machine can damage your flooring and lead to mold growth.  A leaky refrigerator can cause water damage to your kitchen cabinets and potentially short out electrical components. Don’t wait for a small drip to turn into a major flood. If you notice any leaks coming from your appliance, call a repair person right away.

3. Performance Problems: Is your fridge not keeping your food cold enough? Is your dryer taking forever to dry your clothes? Are your dishes still dirty after a wash cycle? These are all signs that your appliance isn’t performing at its best.  While there could be simple explanations, like a clogged filter or incorrect settings, a decline in performance can also indicate a deeper issue with the appliance’s internal components.
