Customer Reviews

Danby Designer 17 Bottle Wine Cooler is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful frig I have been buying these wine frigs instead of a regular mini frig for my office at work for several years now. They have more useable space than a mini frig and this one is the best one I've had yet. This one has flat metal shelves in it instead of curved so it works great for pop and water. The temp gets a little cooler than the normal wine frig but it won't get so cold that it freezes stuff---very very satisfied---oh yeah and it looks so much nicer than a mini frig too

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good little fridge Works well at keeping our wine and beer cool. Fairly quiet operation. Setting the temperature control is not clearly described in the manual but after some experimenting we figured it out. The Danby sticker on the door fell off after two weeks but other than that, it is a good little fridge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pas pour bouteille de vin rouge... :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great little fridge, until it stopped working... Just the right size for my counter and very quiet operation. Stopped working a couple of weeks ago, however, and it will not work any more. I can hear it turn on when I plug it in, but it shuts down again a few seconds later.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Danby Wine Cooler Purchased as a Xmas gift for my son Dec 2013. A month or two ago, the motor burned out & the wine cooler no longer works. Of course this happened after the warranty expired. They just don't build things to last any longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Très bon refroidisseur à vin! J'ai ce refroidisseur à vin depuis un an et je l'adore! Il maintient parfaitement la température demandée. Je ne m'en passerait plus! Très bon achat considérant le prix très abordable! Je suis entièrement satisfaite!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product this is my second Danby wine cooler. Had the first one about 10 years. This one is good but you cannot raise the temperature above 57 degrees. Red wine should not be stored below 57 degrees and not above 65.

Please consult your owner’s manual. If too many bottles/cans are put in at once or the door has not been closed tightly, the unit will display the “HI” signal in the display panel. This is normal, please wait 5 minutes after you close the door and “HI” will disappear. It is normal that the cabinet shows “HI” or “LO” from time to time. If it occurs frequently or lasts for a long time, you can restart the unit by unplugging it. If the problem occurs once again after restart, please contact customer service.
Our wine cellars and beverage centres are not designed for outside installation. This also includes anywhere that is not temperature controlled. ie. garages, porches, carports, etc.
