Customer Reviews

ArcticAire 70 Pint Dehumidifier is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value Unit is much quieter than I expected, easy to work controls and options. I like the drain tube option so that you don't need to empty bucket. The multiple settings for humidity levels is really good. Fan will run at times even if unit is not in dehumidify mode, perhaps this is to cool the unit, not sure, but it would be nice if there was a light to tell you if it is in dehumidify mode as the unit is so quiet you really can't tell if it's only fan running. The humidity level readout is a bit off ( I have a separate meter) on my unit but within 10%. Overall unit performs well, I have had it on 24/7 for almost 1 year now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product We built a new house with poured basement. High humidity inside after construction so I bought this dehumidifier, pluged it in the basement, put hose to sump, and have had no problems in over a year. The company sent me an email a year after purchasing it and ask if I would like to write a review, shows me they have tremendous confidence in their product. First review I have ever written but felt this product deserved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dehumidifier It works well. It does exactly what was promised. This product is used in an office and it really removes the moisture. We have purchased two for the office and both have to be emptied at least twice a day during the summer. During the winter months not as much, but it still continues to remove the moisture from the air. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective dehumidifier We bought this dehumidifier to help reduce the moisture in our new construction home. It has helped a lot. We still have quite a bit of moisture, but I hear that is how it is with some new homes. It hasn't give us any problems. We are happy with our purchase.

FAQs

It is supposed to be there to help determine the water level.
We recommend setting your dehumidifier to between 40-50%.
Information pertaining to watts and amps can be found on the rating plate located on the back of the unit.
There are a couple of reasons this could be occuring. 1) There may not be enough humidity in your environment or 2) Your relative humidity set higher than ambient humidity. Please adjust your settings accordingly if this is the case.
This will vary based on humidity level. It will pump out the water when it reaches a certain level (pump models only).
This varies based on model, however most models have been manufactured to have the fan turn off automatically.
This is not recommended, as the unit is built to operate using the drain hose/power cord provided.
This varies by model, however all dehumidifiers are a one shot timer. Please refer to the owner’s manual for timer instruction.
This varies based on model. With some models you simply screw the hose onto the outlet on the back of the unit. With other models you have to remove the bucket, feed the hose through the back of the unit and connect to the adaptor above the bucket area, then replace the bucket. It is important to look at your control panel. Some units have a “continuous drain” button on the control panel. If that is the case for your unit, you must press this button after the hose is in place or the function will not work. Please refer to your owner’s manual.
