Description

When you have several bottles of wine that need to be cooled, the most convenient and economical way to store them is in a fashionable free-standing wine cooler such as this model from Danby. This spacious unit offers 3.3 cubic feet of cooling space which is designed to store up to 36 bottles of your favourite wines on attractive black wire shelving units. Your collection will also look quite impressive due to the blue LED interior lighting which beautifully showcases the bottles through the elegant tempered-glass door. The bottles will always be at the temperature you prefer since the range of the wine cooler lies between 6°C and 14°C (43°F and 57°F).  There’s no incandescent bulb to interfere with the chilling process and the glass door is designed to protect your collection from potentially harmful ultraviolet rays. This appliance features a stylish recessed pocket-style handle and the smooth back design allows it to be installed flush against a wall. The handy reversible door swing also enables you to open it from the left or right-hand side. This sturdy wine cooler also comes with an 12-month warranty on parts and labour with in-home service.

Customer Reviews

Danby 36 Bottle Wine Cooler is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works, kind of... Appears to be their beer/soda fridge with wine racks installed. A half inch would be valuable in making it capable of its stated capacity. Temp control is hypersensitive at the "just on" point to maintain a reasonable wine temperature. I've relegated it to white wines as it's easier to keep a proper temperature for whites and not over chill reds.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor cooling Had Danby's beverage centre and after 1 year of use it quite working. Was unable to find the same model so bought this model. At maximum setting it only keeps items cool. Forget a nice cold beer or cold white wine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little wine fridge Other reviews said that the motor is a bit noisy and it is not very quiet but it never bothers us, even when we are sitting near it. It hold a lot of bottles (I took out one of the shelves to accommodate the bigger bottles) and everything is in perfect condition. I like the light blue LED lighting, too! :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible fridge Bought this fridge and it sat for 3months until my renos were complete. Once it was plugged in the temp would not cool past 47F. Tried several attempts to troubleshoot but nothing changed. Danby products are garbage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive, and does the job Attractive; night light is a modern blue; and, maintains temperature. Only objection is that it makes a "rattling" noise when compressor first starts each time. Only lasts about five seconds, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quieter than expected. In a New York City apartment kitchen, every inch of space counts. A small convection oven/ broiler fits nicely on top, so we got two for one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great fridge, less than great customer support Referred me to their local dealer, who didn't address the problem, and didn't respond when advised of the non-response.
