Customer Reviews

Premiere 50 Pint Dehumidifier is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good unit The first one we got the hygrometer was so inaccurate that we had to take it back. The second one works as we expected. We have two in our house as we want not to work one to hard. Additionally, we want better control in two different rooms.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Dehumidifier With An Issue This dehumidifier does a good job in a smaller area. All of the functions work well. My one complaint is that the water bucket is difficult to work with. It has no handle, which means it has to be carried with two hands to be emptied. The bottom isn't flat, so it can't be set down if a door needs to be opened. Placing the bucket back into the dehumidifier is somewhat difficult.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dehumidifier My old Kenmore dehumidifier was just blowing air and not dehumidifying the air in my basement. Humidity level was at about 70% in the basement. Installed new Danby DDR50B3WP dehumidifier in the basement and within 3 days the humidity level was down to 50% and the musty smelling odor was much reduced. The unit has been working flawlessly since I purchased it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Dehumidifier Overall good product. Good square footage. I've had no trouble with mine and have owned it for 6 months so far. Would be handier to have a drain hose attached instead of changing bucket out a lot but that is by choice. The buttons could be a little more user friendly, more complex options. Again, I still feel it is a good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Satisfied with performance This dehumidifier is being used in a storage container. Every time we go in and out the readout is '48' and we have had a very wet, rainy end of Summer and Fall! Assuming the readout is actually working then the machine is keeping our storage space delightfully humidity free, band the air certainly feels that way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good This was the first year of using this unit. It runs much quieter than our previous dehumidifier. The filter is very easy to remove, clean and replace and it was easy to pipe for draining down a floor drain. Ran flawlessly all summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dehumidifier Works as advertised. Efficient, quiet, and a really good value. I bought it because I had previously bought a Danby dishwasher and was extremely pleased with it, so this was a trusted choice to go with their dehumidifier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DDR50B3WP dehumidifier This unit is very quiet. I have the unit in a finished basement and it does a great job. The appearance is also nice, it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. The filter is easy to detach and clean.

There are a couple of reasons this could be occurring. 1) There may not be enough humidity in your environment or 2) Your relative humidity set higher than ambient humidity. Please adjust your settings accordingly if this is the case.
We recommend setting your dehumidifier to between 40-50%.
Information pertaining to watts and amps can be found on the rating plate located on the back of the unit.
It is supposed to be there to help determine the water level.
This varies based on model, however most models have been manufactured to have the fan turn off automatically.
This varies based on model. With some models you simply screw the hose onto the outlet on the back of the unit. With other models you have to remove the bucket, feed the hose through the back of the unit and connect to the adaptor above the bucket area, then replace the bucket. It is important to look at your control panel. Some units have a “continuous drain” button on the control panel. If that is the case for your unit, you must press this button after the hose is in place or the function will not work. Please refer to your owner’s manual.
This varies by model, however all dehumidifiers are a one shot timer. Please refer to the owner’s manual for timer instruction.
This will vary based on humidity level. It will pump out the water when it reaches a certain level (pump models only).
